Heavy-duty commercial kitchen exhaust can be difficult to handle with ESP purification alone.
In charcoal barbecue, wood-fired grilling, and other high-grease cooking applications, exhaust often contains dense black smoke, grease mist, soot, char particles, high temperatures, and strong odors. When these pollutants enter the main purifier directly, they can quickly foul ESP collection plates, increase arcing and sparking risks, shorten maintenance intervals, and affect long-term system stability.
The FKE-W Kitchen Exhaust Wet Scrubber is designed as a front-end pre-treatment unit for demanding kitchen exhaust systems. Installed upstream of the main FKE kitchen exhaust purifier, it uses water-film scrubbing to capture larger grease-laden particles, soot, and char contaminants before downstream purification.
At the same time, the wet scrubbing process helps cool high-temperature exhaust before it reaches ESP modules, UV units, activated carbon sections, fans, or ductwork. By reducing grease and smoke load at the front end, FKE-W helps protect downstream equipment, extend maintenance intervals, and support more stable long-term operation.

Heavy-Duty Exhaust Pre-Treatment: Designed for charcoal barbecue, wood-fired grilling, and high-grease commercial kitchens, FKE-W helps reduce dense smoke, grease mist, soot, and char particle load before the exhaust enters the main purifier.
Water-Film Scrubbing Technology: Circulating water is distributed across the internal honeycomb structure to form a uniform water film. As grease-laden exhaust passes through, larger particles and contaminants are captured and washed down into the water circulation system.
Exhaust Cooling Before Main Purification: FKE-W helps cool high-temperature exhaust before it reaches downstream purification equipment, reducing heat stress on ESP modules, UV units, activated carbon sections, fans, and ductwork.
Longer Maintenance Intervals: By intercepting part of the grease, soot, and smoke load at the front end, FKE-W helps keep the downstream FKE purifier cleaner for longer. This reduces oil buildup, lowers cleaning pressure, and helps extend equipment service life.
Closed-Loop Water Circulation: The water-film scrubbing process is supported by a closed-loop water circulation system. Water is recirculated inside the unit to maintain continuous scrubbing performance while helping reduce water consumption and daily operating costs.
