Air quality is a concern across the world. Right from North to South & East to West and everywhere in between, more and more commercial kitchens are installing ecology units or PCUs. Sometimes it is voluntary but PCUs are now being made mandatory by a growing number of local and regional authorities. An Ecology Unit or PCU is a filtration unit which removes volatile organic compounds (VOCs) namely oil, grease, smoke, sooth and odor from kitchen extract systems.
The FEU Ecology Unit is the most reliable air purification system designed to deliver exceptional air quality in various environments. It combines cutting-edge Wireless Charging (Vortex ESP) technology with sustainability to offer a robust solution for commercial(mainly kitchen) or industrial air quality challenges.The purification can be achieved by using either mechanical filtration (such as pre filter, bag filter, HEPA filter, etc.), electronic filtration (Electrostatic Precipitator) or a combination of both, followed by odour control filters (such as carbon filters, UV lights, etc.) and finally concluding with the fan section.

Electrostatic Precipitator With optional Vortex (Wireless Charging) Technology: With wireless charging tech, it can achieve one cell failure not impact others, thus achieve very stable and continued purification effect; Eliminates the risk of arcing, improving safety and efficiency. Arcing can damage electrical components and reduces the efficacy of the PCU.
Modular Design and Flexible Selection: Allows customers to choose from a variety of filter options to customize the PCU to their specific needs. This is beneficial because different commercial kitchens have varying ventilation requirements depending on the type and volume of cooking they do.
Double Skin Epoxy Coated Steel Construction With Polyurethane Foam (PUF) or Ceramic Fibre (CF) Insulation Options: This type of construction provides very good thermal & acoustic barrier with high corrosion resistance which are the key features required for a PCU that is exposed to harsh kitchen & outdoor environments.
Optional Automatic Cleaning for the Electrostatic Precipitator: Reduces maintenance costs by automatically cleaning the unit, which can extend the lifespan of the filters, reduce maintenance time in a busy kitchen and improve the overall performance of the PCU.
Fast Dry Technology for the Electrostatic Precipitator Cells: Allows the PCU to resume normal operation quickly after cleaning, minimizing downtime in the kitchen.
Constant Fan Speed: Constant airflow is maintained with pressure transducer, PLC control & VFD even with increasing pressure in the system due to the clogging of the filters. This feature is important to maintain steady airflow of the kitchen exhaust for effective kitchen hood ventilation & maintaining constant negative pressure in the kitchen area.
Filter Status Monitoring And Remote Display Touch Screen: Allows operators to easily monitor the status of the filters and identify any issues that may require attention. Early detection of filter problems can help prevent costly breakdowns and ensure optimal performance of the system.
